Generic name of this drug is Pseudoephedrine. It is sold under many trade names like Biofed, Genaphed, Contac 12 Hour, Cenafed, Dimetapp Decongestant, Simply Stuffy, 12 Hour Cold Maximum Strength etc.

Pseudoephedrine is used to treat sinus or nasal congestion caused by sinusitis, common cold, hay fever & other respiratory allergies. It is also used to cure ear congestion caused by ear infection or inflammation.
