Injection-Based Methods:
In this method, different types of filler materials are injected into the skin that helps it to recover from various damages. Some common types of fillers used for the anti-aging skin treatment are given below:
- Dermal Fillers: These are the compounds used to fill deep folds on the skin like laugh lines or smile lines. The most-common dermal filler is collagen, but nowadays hyaluronic acid is being extensively used as an alternative. The effect of hyaluronic acid is found to last between six months to one year. It is also known to stimulate the growth of collagen already present in the skin.
- Synthetic Fillers: Unlike collagen and hyaluronic acid, these fillers are synthetically prepared and they sustain longer than the dermal fillers. However, risk of lump formation beneath the skin is associated with synthetic fillers. These lumps can be further removed with some surgical method.
