Symptom 9: Fear of being alone
Patients suffering from borderline personality disorder would feel constant fear of abandonment, they believe that they will be left alone by everybody and even their loved ones would betray them in an attempt to steer clear of their unstable personality. This fear then gets combined with a crooked behavior that is fuelled by fits of extreme anger and violent action that might put them as well as their partner in a highly volatile and dangerous situation.
