Generic Name of this drug is Mupirocin. It is marketed under various names like Centany, Bactroban etc.

Mupirocin is used to cure infections caused by bacteria. It acts by killing bacteria & halting their growth. Centany may also be used for other bacterial skin infections.

Mupirocin ointment is applied to the skin to cure secondarily infected traumatic skin lesions & impetigo.
