Cording emphasizes that water is everyone’s best bet. Even at a cellular level, our body needs water to work efficiently as it is essential to keep the cells and tissues hydrated.

It expands the fiber we eat to make us feel fuller for long. You must also drink water whenever you feel hungry as the brain sends the same signal for both thirst and hunger and doing this might possibly alleviate hunger. It is advised to consume around 8-ounce water every day.

2. Mint Tea

Beth Warren, founder of Beth Warren Nutrition, explains that mint is a natural appetite suppressant. Additionally, it is equally good even when you just smell it.

3. Coffee

Consuming 1 or 2 cups of coffee won’t magically make you lose excess pounds, but it can contribute to your weight loss efforts. The caffeine content in the coffee makes your body burn more calories for energy production. So, you burn off more calories after consuming coffee. Cording explains that it would be best to drink coffee in moderation as it is a stimulant and might cause heart palpitations and jitters. Make sure to limit caffeine to less than 400 milligrams each day for best results.

While Cording believes water is your best bet, you can still incorporate at least one non-water beverage into your routine. This “whatever” can be a latte, kombucha or even mocktail. Including one drink of your choice would certainly make you feel that you are not missing out on anything.

Nonetheless, you must always remember that these beverages alone would not make you lose all that weight magically. Sticking to a strict dietary regimen and exercising regularly is rather more important.
