Rapid gastric emptying or the dumping syndrome refers to an ailment in which the food travels from the stomach to the duodenum at a faster speed. The problem commonly appears post gastric surgeries, however, the occurrence of the disease is also associated with diabetes and side effects to certain types of medicines. The dumping syndrome results in nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and bloating.
