Reduced Vision:
After 40, people usually start experiencing difficulties in focusing on close objects due to thickening of the eye lens. This condition is called presbyopia, wherein the lens stiffens. Magnifying glasses are used to correct this eye condition. Due to stiffness of the lens, seeing in dim light also becomes difficult. Macular Degeneration also occurs as a person ages. It affects the central portion of the retina, which may lead to loss in central vision. Ability to distinguish between different colors also diminishes with age. For example, blue may look like gray.
