With the aim of universal health coverage (UHC) by 2030, global leaders signed up Sustainable Development Goals in 2015. The framework of UGC was designed with an aim to focus all the health programs.
To achieve the goal of Universal Health Coverage, a campaign has been organized on World AIDS Day 2017, which will encourage the theme “Right to Health.” With this theme, the World Health Organization (WHO) will highlight the need for all 36.7 million people surviving with HIV, and for those, who are in a severe state and affected by this epidemic.
A new slogan has also been introduced by the WHO, “Everybody Counts” that promotes the accessibility of safe, quality, effective and affordable medicines. The organization further encourages access to medicines, diagnostic opportunities, health commodities and different health care services for all the needy people, while keeping them all financially secured.
