Everyone wants a dewy, radiant and luminous skin. But, do you think that beauty products loaded with chemicals are mandatory to fulfill your desire? Well, not exactly! In fact, you will be glad to know that giving a natural sheen to your skin is absolutely possible. By taking a few steps towards a healthy lifestyle, you can have a glowing skin without being dependent on cosmetics. Marinated Mushroom Beauty Salad Recipe is here to bring a new glow to your skin.

Your journey to a naturally flawless skin should begin with your diet. As it is rightly said – “You become what you eat.” Thus, you can achieve and maintain a lustrous skin with some dietary modifications. Food that we eat breaks down into minerals, vitamins, amino acids and other essential nutrients required to build a healthy skin. Scientifically speaking, these nutrients help replenish the collagen and elastin of your skin, keeping it firm, young and toned. Depriving your body of any nutrient can take a toll on your skin, which may even produce several signs of aging at an early age.

David Wolfe, an American entrepreneur and author, believes that an ageless beauty can be achieved by consuming superfoods and natural sources of vitamins, avoiding inflammatory foods, detoxifying the body, maintaining an optimal hormonal balance and living a stress-free life.

Now, comes the big question, what foods are to be included in this beauty diet? Wolfe suggests kick-starting the day with avocado, chia, quinoa and cocoa. He also personally vouches for the healing power of super-herbs (tulsi, schizandra and white peony root), cold and hot therapy and outdoor venturing.

Wolfe also advocates the consumption of super oils and antioxidants that can combat premature skin aging. Incorporating coconut, olive and sea buckthorn oil along with pearl powder, aloe vera and turmeric can surely give you an impeccable, flawless skin.

However, Wolfe insists on the fact that people often overlook the role of minerals, which have skin-boosting properties. Magnesium is one such mineral, which has supreme detoxifying abilities. Another effective, yet underrated beauty mineral is silica. Its anti-fungal properties can add immense luster to the nails, skin and hair. It maintains the health of blood vessels; thus, helping in preserving the youthful blush of the skin. These benefits of silica can be reaped from foods like bell peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes.

Another neglected beauty mineral is sulfur. It is an outstanding anti-aging mineral, which can lighten the scars and keep the skin unblemished. Spirulina, hemp seeds and eggs are rich sources of sulfur.

Wolfe strongly believes that one can achieve and maintain a healthy skin by eating healthy, yet delicious food. He validates his belief by sharing one of his delish nutritious recipes, called “Marinated Mushroom Beauty Salad.”

Vitamin D is often considered beneficial for bones. But, a less explored fact is that it indirectly impacts your skin too. According to Wolfe, vitamin D is necessary for the absorption of all other nutrients and for boosting the immune system.

So, staying out on a sunny day for just 20 minutes and eating right can give you adequate vitamin D. Foods rich in vitamin D include salmon, sardines and vegetables like portobello mushrooms. Since long, mushrooms have been known for their anti-aging abilities.

With this mushroom salad recipe, you can extract its benefits while pleasing your taste buds.
