Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Oz or as he is generally known as, Dr. Oz, is the professor of surgery and vice-chairman of Columbia University. He also directs the Cardiovascular Institute at NY Presbyterian. His research interests include minimally invasive surgery, heart replacement surgery along with alternative medicine and health care policy.
Not just limiting himself to the field of medicine, Dr. Oz was also featured in “The Oprah Winfrey Show” for 6 seasons as a health expert, and appeared in more than 60 episodes. He has authored numerous books, out of which, seven have been awarded New York Times’ Best Seller. These best sellers include “You: The Owner’s Manual”, “YOU: On a Diet”, “You: The Smart Patient”, “YOU: Being Beautiful”, “YOU: Staying Young”, “YOU: The Owner’s Manual for Teens” and “YOU: Having a Baby.”
He has been named in the list of “100 Most Influential People” by the Times Magazine and awarded as the “Most Influential Celebrity” by Forbes.
