It is sold under some brand names such as Cheracol with Codeine, Allfen CD, Guiatussin with Codeine, Mytussin AC, Diabetic Tussin C, Brontex, Cheratussin AC, Robitussin-AC, Tussiden C, Guaifen-C, Duraganidin NR, Robafen AC, Guiatuss AC, Guaiatussin AC, Dex Tuss, Allfen CDX.

Codeine is a cough suppressant & belongs to a group of medicines known as narcotics. It affects the signals in the brain that stimulate cough reflex.

Guaifenesin makes mucus congestion lose in the throat and chest, & make it simple to cough out through the mouth. It is an expectorant.

The Cheracol with Codeine is used to diagnose a cough and to decrease chest congestion that is caused by the common cold or upper respiratory infections.
