Generic name of this medicine is Alprostadil. It is marketed under various brand names such as Caverject, Prostin VR Pediatric, Edex, Muse etc.

Caverject is a PGE-1(prostaglandin). It acts by making certain muscles relax in the penis & widening blood vessels results in more blood flow to the penis & helps to cause an erection. When the effect of alprostadil reduces, the erection disappears.

This medicine is used to cure erectile problems in men. It may also be used to treat erectile dysfunction.
