Antioxidants Fight Against Free-radicals:

Despite being an essential element for humans or for that matter all living things, oxygen plays a negative role for its highly reactive nature. They can be part of harmful molecule and able to set free the damaging particles called “free-radicals”. These free-radicals are unstable because they contain unpaired (a pair of free electron) electron. To become stable, they attack any stable molecule and capture their electron by making them unstable and this process further continues like a chain reaction.
